THE PROBLEM
The small Missouri town we grew up in had nothing for kids like us. No all-ages shows. No art spaces. No place to gather that didn't involve a parking lot or a mall. I was 19 years old and instead of complaining about it, I co-founded one. Recruited three friends, found a space, and got to work turning it into something the town had never seen.

what shipped
A fully functioning all-ages community venue that hosted live concerts, open mic nights, improv comedy shows, art exhibitions, and protests. I handled the entire visual identity and painted a large-scale mural on the inside wall that set the tone for everything that happened in the space. My clothing brand had a shop in the front. We flew a pirate flag outside. A heavy metal show we booked drew protesters and landed us on local news. The community that formed around URT was real, loud, and absolutely not supposed to exist in a town that size.
